California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC)

Our November Luncheon is about more than gathering together. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together and support the California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC) and the work it does to protect and strengthen the interests of our industry and the communities we serve.

This year, we’re making it easy and fun for every member to participate. We’re asking you to consider donating an item, experience, or contribution to one of our three exciting CLAC initiatives:

Silent Support for CLAC: Bidding on Better Communities
Our Silent Auction is all about turning great donations into meaningful support for CLAC.

We are seeking donated items valued at $100 or more. Think gift baskets, electronics, services, specialty items, restaurant or retail gift cards, and other items our members will be excited to bid on.
Whether you donate personally or through your company, your contribution can help turn a great item into advocacy dollars for CLAC.

Please email Amy Yankauskas if you'd like to donate: amy@cai-glac.org

2. Paddles for Policy
Get ready to raise your paddle!

Our Live Auction will feature unique and exciting experience-based donations that members will want to compete for. We are especially looking for items such as:
  • Sports tickets or season-ticket experiences
  • Concert or entertainment tickets
  • Magic Castle tickets
  • Golf or other recreational experiences
  • Weekend getaways or travel experiences
  • Exclusive dining experiences
  • Behind-the-scenes or VIP experiences
  • Other unique experiences that would make an exciting live-auction item

Companies with season tickets or special access are especially encouraged to consider donating an experience. This is a great way to turn an opportunity your company already has into meaningful support for CLAC.

Please email Amy Yankauskas if you'd like to donate: amy@cai-glac.org

CLAC Call to Action.png

3. The CLAC Call to Action
Finally, we’ll come together at the luncheon for our annual CLAC Call to Action. This is an opportunity for every member to make a direct contribution to the advocacy efforts that impact our industry.

This is our chance to show that our industry is informed, engaged, and willing to invest in protecting our communities and our future.

Let’s Make This Our Biggest CLAC Effort Yet
There are so many ways to participate, and every contribution makes a difference.

Have an item worth $100 or more? Donate it to the Silent Auction.
Have access to an incredible experience or tickets? Donate it to the Live Auction.
Want to directly support CLAC’s advocacy efforts? Answer the Call to Action at the luncheon.

Three ways. One purpose. A stronger voice for our industry.

We encourage every member to think about what you, your company, or your network could contribute. Let’s make our November Luncheon an exciting celebration of our industry and a powerful show of support for CLAC.

Thank you for helping us bid on better communities, raise our paddles for policy, and make our voices heard.
